BLOODBIT3

I am a long time adult gamer, primarily on PC. I play for skill and for fun, and I am the antithesis of the influencer/tech-nerd pandemic that has infected the world of gaming.

I have no corporate affiliations, no sponsorships.

I upload content because I value my gaming time, which is usually in short supply, and I want to contribute a little back to the more serious side of the gamer community; those that, like me, care about quality and not the hype, nor franchise nostalgia, and certainly not brand loyalty.

I also post honest reviews on Steam that are NOT paid for like every Influencer bit of fluff out there. Stop watching and listening to this garbage demographic of the gaming community. They have carried the torch of toxic gaming media culture that was in the form of deceptive, paid-for reviews during the 20'teens among all of the major gaming media sites (and clearly still are).

Gaming is, and should always be, a pleasure... not a chore, and not work.

CURRENT HARDWARE/PLATFORMS:

  1. Windows [PC]
  2. Linux [PC]
  3. Android
  4. Xbox Series S

CURRENT GAMING GEAR/RIGS (of note):

  1. Simucube 2 Pro + All Kinds of Awesome Bits and Pieces
  2. SteelSeries SRW-S1 Steering Wheel ( old, but still works)
  3. Logitech G25 Steering Wheel [MODDED] ( old, but still works)
  4. Razer Tartarus Pro
  5. Razer Hydra ( old, but still works)
  6. Oculus Rift VR

I am an original, pre-Kickstarter backer of Star Citizen... and no, I did not continue dumping money into it since the original pitch back in 2012(?). But I would still like to see at least the singleplayer part of the game properly finished and released as was promised, once upon a time. I am also one of those early folks that backed Project CARS (before crowdfunding for games was a thing). I can also happily claim to have been a backer to some other gems like Kingdom Come, Dirty Bomb and Superhot, among others. I have put my money where my mouth is... money towards games that try to be better.

I have a very strong belief that the gamer community is equally as responsible for not holding various exploitative publisher/developers accountable. Call a spade a spade and support developers that actually support their own games, and not bleed gamers for every $$$ drop of DLC/content. And specifically DO NOT support devs/publishers that are blatantly trying to rip you off.

SAY NO TO LOOT BOXES!!!

I am also sick of broken Day Zero releases, pointless pre-order bonuses, endless loot/meta grinding/battle-season passes, and this sick obsession many have to play the latest over-hyped (and often broken) release that will ultimately be abandoned by most developers/publishers in a year or two after release.

And yes, as it says at the top of the site... it is pronounced BLOODBITE, not BloodBIT... just for clarification. I don't ever correct anyone over VOIP while gaming because: I really do not care. I changed my gamer tag from Bloodbite to Bloodbit3 for a variety of reasons including; the name BLOODBITE was mysteriously taken in a lot of games despite those claimed user accounts never having actually been active players. And even stranger, it was considered "offensive" in some games... more games than you would think. Within each of those particular games both the words BLOOD and BITE were deemed unnacceptable for use in any combination... this is the kind of soft, fucked up and corporatised world that we are gaming in these days. Once upon a time, back in the dial-up modem days of gaming, I also went by xXx_Loki_xXx. I was using "xXx" before it became a reference to any sort of clan. I was a lone wolf multiplayer, it was just a visual delineator to avoid association with any of the other "Lokis" out there (and there were a few).

SUPPORT: Any support is much appreciated. I am obviously not doing any of this for money, but if you want to throw something my way in appreciation for something that you found helpful, whether it is a gifting via Steam, or whatever, that would be pretty cool. But more importantly, I want you to stop giving your money and your time to shit AAA franchises/publishers.

VIDEO CONTENT: YouTube

YOUTUBE is where you can find any and all the video content that I post. I try to keep things as simple and as raw as possible.

I am absolutely opposed to the approach that many Gaming YouTubers take, which is trying to chase influencer monetisation status by creating mindless fluff videos where they chatter on about half baked opinions and speculation, often throwing 11+ minute videos up of said influencer reading, word for word, patch notes... then rephrasing "what this means is..." for those of you that must be too stupid to understand what in the flying fuck is being mentioned in a set of "patch notes."

These videos are like a disease, and should be avoided. By all means, skim through my videos for whatever you feel helps you make a decision in being exposed to a certain game that you have not yet played. Want more information? Skim/read the detailed description that I often throw beneath a video. I will NOT make you waste your precious time listening to 11+ minutes of my voice, hoping that you might hear that five second piece of information you were really after.

Below is an itemised list of the more specific, purpose based videos that I have uploaded.

GAMING HARDWARE & SOFTWARE DEMOS + BUILDS + MODS:
Mostly racing sim related. Honest and transparent demostrative videos, with detailed information and perspective/experience information in relation to niche and/or customised gear.

BeamNG.DRIVEF1 Series | Forza Motorsport 7 | GRID Series | KartKraft | Live For Speed | NASCAR Series
Project CARS Series | RaceRoom | rFactor Series | WRC Series | Wreckfest

SIM RACING TRACK IMMERSION COMPARISONS IN ULTRA WIDESCREEN:
Video captures of individual laps/runs/sprints/etc per game + variables/settings. Simcade titles also included. Most were captured with 5.1 Surround Sound, however the accuracy of what was actually recorded due to Windows being a piece of shit malware O/S that often quietly restricts/turns off key functions each time they force their "Experience" updates on users trying to force them to to buy their Office / One Drive / etc-bloatware (which usually needs to be re-removed despite saying NO)... I have no interest in going back in to re-capture and re-upload videos thanks to the fuckery that is Microsoft.

IMAGE CONTENT: Pinterest

PINTEREST is where I will post any still based imagery, and some video snippet stuff too just... because.

So any glamour shots from within racing games, or any other game for that matter... or more importantly, any reference photos for hardware-to-game configurations, or perhaps even my attempt at "game guide" style material... into this account is where I will post imagery.

STREAMING: Twitch

If I have a moment, or the motivation to stream, I will do so via my TWITCH account.

But to be brutally honest... streaming is a "few and far between" thing for me. I live a very busy and active life, and sometimes it is hard enough to squeeze in the kind of gaming time that I would like, let alone throwing together some of the videos that I post online AND do the other IRL things that I enjoy doing.

I have tried streaming to a schedule in the past... I was curious to find out what it felt like, and I won't lie, it felt like work, and made gaming rather... not fun!

BUT... if you do catch me streaming at any point, it will be in the same vein as the videos that I post on YouTube... for the shared benefit of seeing a game in action without any bullshit gimmicks or fake influencer experiences. That means no hacking, no whoring myself to play the current trending AAA title that everyone is already playing. I respect those that stream skill sessions and crazy speed runs and stuff like that, but streamers in general... there is too much "fakeness" out there... so no, not for me as a regular, scheduled thing.

GAME REVIEWS: Steam Curator

Now, I enjoy the funny/goofy one sentence reviews on Steam as much as the next gamer, but it can get a little frustrating when you are actually trying to hunt down some genuine info about an actual game to figure out if it is worth buying, playing... and sometimes to just identify if an online aspect of the game is dead/discontinued/no-longer-supported.

Everyone is entitled to their opinions, but unfortunately there are A LOT of fanboys that blindly worship AAA franchises and are happy eating the shit sandwich that they paid a premium price tag for... and then somehow get upset that someone had the audacity to disagree with their glowing praise of their beloved franchise. I try to throw some quality, detailed reviews up there for other gamer's that actually have standards, have the intelligence to take every review that they read with a grain of salt, and are also sick and tired of having their time wasted dealing with highly praised games by gamer media sites and influencers only to find the game is absolute buggy piece of shit, and all of that critical acclaim was really paid for public relations..

My Curator selection on STEAM are really a summarised version of some of those reviews that I have posted under specific games.
